4. How to order

At Asakusa Unana, you must first stand in line to place your order. Orders are purchased from a ticket machine. You can pay by PayPay or cash, but the staff at the cash register seem to speak English, so you can order in English.

You will be asked if you want to take out or eat in. If you choose to take out, they will wrap it in a plastic bag, so if you want to win other prizes and eat at Sensoji Temple or other places, it is recommended to choose “take out.

When you order, you will be asked, “Do you want sansho on top?” you will be asked. It is a matter of taste, but I personally recommend sansho because it tastes so much better with sansho on it! I personally recommend Sansho! It will refresh your mouth and make it very tasty!

When you place your order, you will be told to come back in about 15 minutes to pick it up, so take a walk around the neighborhood.

Since Senso-ji Temple can also be reached from the west approach, there are many things to do on a nearby walk!

5. Beware of Fake Stores

Fake stores are known to exist in Asakusa Unani. Fake stores often use similar store names or are located nearby. Be sure to check that the store name, address, and phone number match the store name, address, and phone number found on the official website and review sites.

6. User reviews and ratings

Reviews and opinions of Asakusa Unana are very positive. In particular, many are impressed by the aroma and flavor of the eel. However, there are some evaluations that reservations are necessary due to the limited number of seats and that the waiting time can be long during busy times.

7. Finally: Tips for enjoying delicious unagi at Asakusa Unana

It is a tasty onigiri that you can eat right away, but it is good to have wet wipes because your hands can get dirty! Also, it will be very humid and damp in Japan from now on, so it would be good to have some sweat wipes!

Have fun in Asakusa!
